Competitive Edge Skating is one of the few training facilities in southeast Michigan to offer the RapidShot Hockey Training System, a unique training device that can dramatically improve aim, timing and accuracy of your shots on goal.
How it Works
The RapidShot Hockey Training System combines a practice goal with computer software that documents repetitive shots and provides instant feedback on reaction time, speed and accuracy. This allows players to identify their specific shot techniques that need improvement. It also includes drills that improve aim for various and more difficult upper, lower, left and right corner shots and for shots on both sides of the body. The system displays immediate results and shows where your shots rank against others across the nation.

RapidShot’s comprehensive computerized training system is an exceptional individual instruction tool for all position players – everyone gets opportunities on net! Even seasoned players and weekend warriors can hone their scoring skills. (Real hockey players never hang up their skates!) Players training with the RapidShot see a marked improvement in their shot accuracy, increases in shot velocity and faster reaction times – notably in extreme pressure game situations when it matters most.
Package Rates*
- $50 for 60 minutes (approximately 300 to 500 shots)
- $125 for 1 month unlimited (approximately 1000 to 3000 shots)
- $600 for 6 months unlimited (approximately 4000 to 6000 shots)

Players will be given a bar-coded Member Card, pre-loaded with their chosen package. The card is swiped to activate the system, and contains a member ID number that can be used to log into the website to review individual score cards, daily progress and worldwide ranking.
