Last week during our one mile burpee challenge there were moments where we would hit a wall and felt like quitting. But just like I asked my swim buddy, “Why are walls or obstacles there?”

Have you ever heard of the statement, “Ignorance is bliss?” I don’t tend to agree with this very often. When I tell others we may be doing an exercise or challenge for a mile, it is common for people to say, “A mile? That’s it?” And it’s usually because they’ve never done something so challenging. Retired Navy SEAL, Mark Divine, believes that if we are to grow as human beings we need to figure out our comfort zone and get the heck out of it! As I told my swim buddy last week, obstacles are there to show us how badly we want something.

So, what about you? Are you constantly avoiding obstacles, challenges or ignore your weaknesses because it’s easier to work on things you are good at? Let’s make sure we don’t follow the rest of the crowd and instead persevere through walls, run over obstacles and enjoy challenges knowing it’s transforming us into all we can be. HOOYAH!
