My pastor recently informed us that we shouldn’t call ourselves “Christians.”  What then do you think he guided us on to be instead?

James 1:25 says, “But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it – not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it – they will be blessed in what they do.”  Jesus wasn’t looking for people to just worship him.  He is looking for those who are disciples of him who regularly do the disciplines which are needed to be transformed from the inside out.  This reminds me of our students at CES and how we want those who just don’t hear our words, but instead are doers of our philosophy.

What about you?  Do you listen to motivational speeches, follow certain leaders or worship Christ only to forget to be doers of the disciplines needed to grow?  Christ doesn’t want us to just follow him and we at CES don’t just want stronger skaters. Therefore, here’s to continuing to be doers and disciples growing into all that God knows we can be to help change the world.  HOOYAH!
